Behind the Door
A poem by S David

I suppose it was
Serious
Frightening or
Even worse to her
Overfed Imagination
I suppose it was
The mind is
A beautiful funny thing
A different song
That each sings
And fright night
Lord let her scream
Light there was some
A vague shadow
Hand on the door
Almost black so
Dark the room
To explore
She was
She was
A strange apparition
Looking
A phantasmagoria
With hair
Reaching down
To the floor
To the floor
Half a vision
When opening
The door
The door
And light
And light
The door swings
Two screams
